The Federal Ombudsman, Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch has, in a recent meeting with the Chairman, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), emphasized the need for greater institutional coordination between the Wafaqi Mohtasib Office and NAB for ensuring transparency and ushering in good governance in the country.
The Chairman, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lt. Gen. (R) Nazir Ahmad Butt called on the Wafaqi Mohtasib (Federal Ombudsman), Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch in his office and exchanged views with him on matters of mutual interest with particular reference to enhancing cooperation between the two institutions in promoting transparency, accountability and good governance in the country.

Apprising the Chairman NAB of the role and functions of his Institution, the Wafaqi Mohtasib said that it is committed to providing speedy redressal of public complaints relating to maladministration of the federal government entities as it redressed more than 250,000/- complaints during the year 2025. This year the volume of complaints is likely to exceed 270,000–275,000, he added. He observed that the forum is fast, free and reliable, with countrywide network of Regional Offices.  The Chairman NAB expressed the view that a vast scope existed for mutually advantageous cooperation between the two organizations.
