The Joint Committee, composing members of the Petition Committee and the Human Rights Inquiry Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), held a meeting on 1 July 2026 with senior representatives of public institutions which reported high compliance with the recommendations of the Ombudsman Institution. It was attended among others by Ombudsmen Mr. Ertunç Erkan Balta, Mr. Abdullah Cengiz Makas, Mr. Özcan Yıldız, and Mr. Şerif Yılmaz.

Participants discussed the measures taken to implement the recommendations of the Ombudsman Institution, as well as the progress achieved throughout the implementation process. The discussions highlighted the importance of cooperation among public institutions in ensuring the effective implementation of the Institution’s decisions and further strengthening the principles of good administration.
